Sadly,my time here has come to an end. I'm now without a computer for the most part and working so much at the bookstore that I rarely have time to track down a computer. I'm not quite sure how I will survive without my beloved lj and email, but I'm saving my dollars for my own spiffy laptop so hopefully I will return to lj land sometime in the future. Special thanks to mosself for giving me a code back when you needed an invite to this wonderful place. I hope all you CLEX - lovers are still here when I return.

So that was the verdict from my MD this morning. Definitely bronchitis with a touch of Community-Acquired Pneumonia. Now I was too busy coughing my lungs out to ask what the heck that meant....but it kinda sounds dirty to me. Have I been spending time having unprotected conversations with infected persons? I don't remember seeing anybody hacking up a lung around me last week?
So I'm waiting in my doctors office and actually had to wear a surgical mask in the waiting room. The place was packed and everybody there was looking at me like I was the embodiement of the black plague or like I was on my way to the SARS wards. Swear to god I wasn't being paranoid. It was kinda unsettling.
Oh yeah, and my MD is a god! He asked if I had a drug plan and I don't have one at the moment - so he gave a huge pile of samples free! Love Him! Love Him!
Absolutely loving useless poll week here on LJ. Fun to do while requiring little if any effort. Effort is not something I have right now. Off to spam the LJ countryside with my pointless quiz answers. |

I manage to rant like an over-caffeinated valley girl in Fleegull's comments about the Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne pics (link posted right in there)!!!!! You heard me. The Bale all decked out and looking lovely. AND a Gotham license plate! I think I have a fictional city license plate fetish. Seriously, nothing gets me squeeing like a fan-girl more than a fictional plate.
But then my license plate has LOKEE on it. Sick, sick, sick. Some jerk already had LOKI - so who's sicker?!?! Ok, I am, but still - it's an homage to my cat. The original killer loki. Most beautiful and vicious cat ever to cross my path and ruin my hundred dollar sweaters. |

I've got some nasty intestinal infection - fun wow!
So I'm stuck at home for like the next WEEK! Unbelievable!!!! I am so gonna go Lord of the Flies being cooped up in here. Maybe I'll finally attempt to write some CLEX. Mmmmmmm....off to find some sort of plot bunny to inspire me. I honestly need to grow a set of balls....I am such a chicken shit when it comes to creative stuff. The worst that could happen is I write some stuff, it stinks and I either try again or go back to cross-stitching... |

I de-lurk to present......my egg!!!!......(gakked from all over).
And to say hi to everybody out there. I'm still reading all my LJ friends entries and continually enjoying everyone's thoughts on SV and all things CLEX. But it's also those snippets of Real Life that just make my day a little more interesting. A post by dolimir made me want to put a little post out there just to say thanks to my LJ friends. I may not seem to be around, but I'm here and enjoying you all so much - thanks. I hope you don't think I'm a creepy lurker but I have a job where I have to be a social butterfly extraordinaire all day (I sell books and other stuff in retail), every day that it's therapeutic at the end of the day to just sit back and watch, and read and listen to all the wonderful things you all have to say. Thank you all so much.

Please excuse all spelling and grammatical errors this evening....morning (is grammatical even a word?). I've been meaning to post a little something for ages, and for some reason I've been inspired to jot something down....at almost 4am. My grammar skills are suffering by this time in the am to say the least.
Getting to the point.....the state of Clex. I love Lex. I love Clark. I'm actually dreading the return of Smallville. Did I just say that? Ohmygodireallydid! I don't hate Clark for what he did right before hiatus. He's young and scared and he panicked. But I have to say something somewhat spoilery. It's already been in the trailer for the new eppy but just in case.....here goes my possibly spoilery rant....( Read more... ) And....I'm spent! |

Just a quick note to thanks nixxie_ for my fist LOTR-ish icon. Billy Boyd has stolen my heart!!! (My dear Lex/Mikey owns it, but dear Billy has taken it for a wee bit of a vacation....) More of nixxie's great icons can be found at her website here.
Now here's a random LJ thought....I'm a girl and hence I automatically think of fellow LJ'ers as "she" or "her", especially when their LJ name isn't obviously male or female. Nixxie, if you're out there, all apologies if you're of the male species. Perhaps I should check out your userinfo and/or website and see if I can tell from there.
I love that gender bears no meaning in LJ land....it's just that I often don't know how exactly to politely speak of a fellow LJ'er if I don't know. I'm sure there's an obvious way around it, I'm just too tired to figure it out at the moment! Doh!
Oh yeah, I've jumped onto the LOTR wagon o'porny RPS.....and dayum!!! do those middle-earth-lovers know how to get down and dirty with the LOTR boys!!!! CLEX will now and forever be first in my heart....but one fan-girl can only take so much heartbreak in one half-season....the Lex-abuse is still hurting me. |

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Holidays.
My life has been a bit of a roller-coaster the past week or so. For a few days there I was thinking that life really sucked and I was shaking my fists at the fates. I had an Uncle who found out he had a malignant brain tumor, my Step-Dad was in the hospital with critical pneumonia and a friend slashed her wrists....all last week. I had decided that life was a big shit sandwich and that some nasty malevolent "god" wanted us all to take a bite. I was pissed.
And then some wonderful things happened....my Uncle is recovering at an unheard of rate from having the tumor removed Friday...he's home already!....after having brain surgery they were sure he would die from. My Step-Dad is home already and on the mend. And my friend.....I had to remind myself that she survived and is now getting the help and attention she's been needing for over a year now.
I don't know what all this means. All I know is that I have never been so grateful for so many things before....where a week ago I thought the complete opposite. Sometimes life can suck, and sometimes it can be filled with wonderful miracles.

Saw this fic and just HAD to give it a quick read. It's a Shattered fic by kieyra called Control Freak posted in ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) sv_slash. Definitely looks at Lex's control issues, and is also definitely freaky. Loved it! NC-17 with some naughty BDSM and various pairings - what fun!

So much great SV fic to read....so little time. I'm totally freaking here and too sick to make much sense.
I've been working at the bookstore and I've got the stomach flu and hence have been missing out BIG time on my SV reading. I slept all day in an attempt to shake this bug and then my sweetie of a hubby rented me X-Men 2 and Bruce Almighty so I think the reading's gonna have to wait - yummy Wolverine!. Also, sitting up makes my stomach hurt more than it already does....I'm such a suck.
Note to self: Need to catch up on mistressace's Without a Trace, I'm like many ch's behind and that will not do at all. Need to catch up on aelora's Red!K Hudson fic Unleashed - in which I think there will be wanton naughtiness - yay! And also eyed some Lex/Bruce fic in lexalot's LJ that I must read asap....sometimes I just need some Bruce. Especially now that I know Christian Bale is going to be the next Batman - yummy image that one is. |

So I finally watched "Shattered" courtesy of alejandradd's Tinyvision. I still think I need a day or two to digest that one.....so the fannish-eppy-rampage will have to wait.
However!!!I grabbed myself another heartbreaking icon featuring the aforementioned eppy. I got this one from the generous and talented Jenna Lynn aka autumnyte, who posted some lovely icons up at sv_icons.
I was honestly trying not to be greedy, but I couldn't resist this one. The combination of the haunted looking Lex and the quote from Tears for Fears, Mad World was too gut-wrenching to pass up! My favorite battered boy, one of my all time favorite songs, and then the line in the song that kills me every time....all put together....it was just tooo good. Love it! Love autumnyte!
If you're not familiar with the song, they actually used it in Exodus (if memory serves me correct). Gary Jules did a remake of the original Tears for Fears song for the movie Donnie Darko, and it was that version they used in the eppy.
Both versions are great and are well worth giving a listening to. And if you really enjoy the mood of the Gary Jules version, you absolutely must go rent Donnie Darko - an incredibly funny, sad, and wickedly surreal movie. |

So I started my new job this week! I'm absolutely loving working at the bookstore and being out in the world again :)
Only setbacks....extremely sore feet (not used to standing all day) and missing out on all the SV goings-on. I'm going through some serious CLEX fan-fic and LJ withdrawl! I adore reading about my beloved boys on a regular basis and then giving well-earned praise to the great writers who bring them to life. But with the new job and lots of other RL stuff I've been too busy to keep up....the horror of it! I found a few minutes tonight to check out LJ and to see what's up but alas no time for any serious fic-reading. However, "Magnetic" is due to air in approx. 5 minutes so at least I'll get a decent fix of SV for now.
Note to self....must learn some serious time-management skills! Cannot let RL take my dear boys away from me! |

So i'm chatting away with some RL friends. They were teasing me about my Hoyay "addiction" and a couple think it's nuts that I read Slash Fanfic. But they were saying I'm "nut's" in a joking way. We were having a good giggle about it. Then I decide to tell them, "if you think that's naughty, you should see the RPS I read and love". I go on to explain what RPS is to them, and get this, they all freaked! And looked at me like I was about to burst into flames! I was told that such things are wrong, and were an infringement on these actors personal lives and yadda yadda yadda...
I always joke about "special hell" and the such but I had NO IDEA that people could feel so strongly about RPS. How can non-published fiction be an infringement on someone's rights? Stalking MR and trying to grab his ass on a citystreet or something....very wrong, and makes me sad. I mean, I'm the super shy kind of fangirl that runs in the other direction when I see someone famous - for real! Have bumped into famous people...have bolted. But writing and reading stuff on LJ, websites etc....how on earth can that be a wrong thing?!?!? How is that an infringement? Do other people really feel this way?
Note to self.....thank the gods of wherever that my RL friends do not have access to my LJ (nor do they know it exists ;)....that would have REALLY sucked. I'd probably be burning on a stake at this very moment....
.....why are my lj-cut tags being bee-atchs today? they.just. won't.work....ARGH! |
